The board game
Each miniature comes fully painted with a two-sided stat card describing the character's abilities and history. Like many superhero card games, Star Wars Miniatures expansion packs allow for a broad, almost galactic selection of heroes to play.
However, these miniature pieces move beyond the board.
Wizards of the Coast and beyond
Board games are fine, but some fans prefer to stage and photograph scenes. These may be posted on the Internet as story board, comic strips, or just for fun. Like to play but crunched for space? These miniatures, ranging from small to large (yet still "mini"), are space-friendly and easily toted.

Game developer Rob Watkins said the rarity of a figure depends on the complexity of the sculpture and how much it costs to produce. One in three booster packs will include a rare or very rare figure. Popular characters tend to be rare.
